This article talks about the reasons why Atlas Recall might fail to return any results during a search, and answers questions surrounding whether or not Recall is able to index your hard drive and previous browsing history.
In Recall, we want to bring you the best and most relevant search experience by returning valuable results.
In the event that your desired result is not included in the items produced by your search, or has not returned ay results at all, this might be due to the following:
1. Recall has not yet remembered the item you want to find.
For Recall to work successfully, it has to be running in the background for it to add items to your personal searchable library. Because of this, it cannot add anything that you have not viewed or edited since its installation. Recall only works on adding items to your personal library from the moment of its installation, and does not index your hard drive or browsing history.
2. Recall has not associated your search keywords / parameters with the item you want to find.
Recall works by using your Accessibility settings to utilize the screen reader to generate content that you can search on. If you are searching for something that is not returning your ideal result, please let us know via email@example.com and we can help you figure out why!
3. Recall was not open at the time that you were working on the item.
Recall has to be open for it to start adding items to your personal searchable history. If you were working on an item and Recall wasn't running, it will not capture and add what was on your screen to your library. You can check if Recall is running by checking the menu bar on your computer:
